We believe every kid deserves the chance to build inner strength before the world demands it, to find the joy that comes with feeling confident in their own skin before the world makes it feel impossible, and to access experiences and spaces where personal growth happens. We exist to enable kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges.

Junior Coach

A Junior Golf Coach plays a crucial role in nurturing the next generation of golfers, instilling in them not only the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the sport but also the values of sportsmanship, perseverance, and lifelong enjoyment of golf. Junior Coach nominations will be facilitated by staff, and participants must have previously served as a Junior Mentor.

Volunteer Coach

Kids become a better version of themselves when they have the space to be who they are, surrounded by passionate people who guide them to see what they are capable of. To make these outcomes possible, we seamlessly integrate the game of golf with a life skills curriculum where kids feel excited to grow, safe to fail, and better equipped for whatever comes their way next. No golf experience needed!

Lead Coach

First Tee Lead Coaches are actively enrolled in First Tee Coach Program and attend network training over a period of 3-4 years beginning at Level 1 training. An individual interested in leading classes and dedicating more than 75 hours a year to instruction should consider this avenue. Intended for veteran Volunteer Coaches looking to make a greater impact!

Mentor

Mentors assist in teaching First Tee Life Skills to mentees, provide positive feedback, and encourage participant behavior to help ensure a safe learning environment.

Lead Mentor

Lead Mentors organize and lead other mentors in the delivery of First Tee Life Skills, provide guidance, advice, feedback and support to the mentee and mentors. They also serve as role models, teachers, counselors, advisors, advocates and allies. You will provide mentee and mentors with all the tools needed to become a better version of themselves. Intended for veteran Mentors looking to make a greater impact!
