For 25 years, First Tee – Central Arkansas has used golf to help young people build confidence, character and skills that go far beyond the course. This month, we had the chance to celebrate that milestone with many of the people who have helped make it possible.
Celebrating 25 Years of First Tee – Central Arkansas
Our 25th Anniversary celebration began Sunday evening at the Capital Hotel with supporters, board members, alumni and friends of First Tee coming together to celebrate 25 years of impact.The evening also gave us the opportunity to recognize Tommy May for his longtime support of First Tee and his commitment to young people across Arkansas. We were grateful to have some of our First Tee participants help tell our story and share firsthand what the program has meant to them.
A lot has changed over 25 years, but the heart of our work has stayed the same: creating opportunities for young people and helping them develop skills they can carry with them wherever they go.
A Special Day At The Alotian Club
The celebration continued Monday at The Alotian Club with a special day of golf. We were fortunate to bring together longtime supporters and friends of First Tee for a day that celebrated where we’ve been while supporting where we’re going.We are incredibly grateful to The Alotian Club and to everyone who joined us and helped make the weekend so special.
The Next 25 Years
Over the past 25 years, thousands of young people across Central Arkansas have experienced First Tee through our programs, schools and community partnerships. Reaching this milestone gave us a chance to celebrate that history, but even more importantly, to look ahead. There is still a lot of opportunity in front of us, and we’re excited about what the next 25 years can mean for young people in our community.
