Volunteering at First Tee
First Tee — Central Arkansas depends on volunteers. We operate year-round and offer the opportunity to volunteer in a variety of capacities. If you live for helping kids and playing golf we can use your assistance any time you are available! Or if you’re a parent of a student and would like to help, we need it! The volunteer opportunities are endless and time commitments are flexible to fit your schedule. Volunteers are needed in all areas at First Tee — Central Arkansas to impact the youth of our community!
As you consider volunteering for our chapter, know that the safety of our kids is our first priority. Please read our Prevention Policies to see how we conduct programs and activities at our chapter.
3 EASY STEPS!
STEP 1
Provide us with information about yourself filling out the volunteer application and complete a background check. Please fill out the information through the link above and we will email you instructions on completing a background check. You will also be asked to complete a SafeSport training.
STEP 2
Volunteers must attend Volunteer Orientation at First Tee — Central Arkansas that lasts about 45 minutes. Orientation will help you familiarize yourself with the program and the opportunities for having an impact on a child. During this session you will meet other volunteers, learn the basics of the program so you can answer general questions from parents and you will gain an understanding of the code of conduct to which the students must adhere. You will also be asked to take the ACT (Assistant Coach Training) online and become and official assistant coach!
STEP 3
We will confirm your assignment and work with you to ensure that you are comfortable with your responsibilities. Schedules will be provided so you can sign up for times convenient for you.
We welcome your questions and feedback about our training, orientation and your assignment. We want to ensure that you have a fulfilling volunteer experience at First Tee — Central Arkansas.
